The Time button in the toolbar displays controls which let you animate the flow of time continuously, or adjust it step-by-step. Tap the Time button to show these controls; tap it again to hide them.
When visible, the time flow controls contain the following items:
Date and Time: The simulated date and time are at the top of the panel. An underlined segment indicates the time unit that will be used for flowing or stepping time. For example, if the seconds of time are underlined, then you will flow (or step) time forward or backward by one second using the buttons below.
Time Flow Arrows: Above the time units, a set of "VCR" controls lets you start and stop the flow of time. Tap the rightmost arrow to start the flow of time continuously forward. Tap the leftmost arrow to flow time continuously backward. Tap either of these arrows again to stop time flowing.
Time Step Arrows: The central arrows adjust the time by a single step, equal to the time unit you have selected underneath. For example, if you selected 1 minute as the time unit, tapping the center right arrow will move the time forward by 1 minute. You can select steps of 1 second, 10 seconds, 1 minute, 10 minutes, 1 hour, and 10 hours by tapping the appropriate digit in the time display.
Now Button: Stops the flow of time, and returns to the current date and time indicated by your iPhone, iPad, or Android's internal clock.
